# Cert Lifecycle Management

ThrivoSign Remote Signing Solution core lifecycle management involves the coordination of several critical components. At the center of this lifecycle are the users, who initiate the signing process by interacting with the system. Certificates are issued to users to validate their identity and ensure the integrity of the signed documents. Hardware Security Module (HSM) keys provide secure storage and management of cryptographic keys, safeguarding the signing process. The actual signing process uses these keys to create a digital signature that is legally binding and tamper-evident. The Signer Interaction Component (SIC) ensures a user-friendly interface, facilitating smooth interaction between users and the signing system. Together, these elements—users, certificates, HSM keys, signing processes, and the Signer Interaction Component (SIC)—ensure a secure, efficient, and compliant digital signature management process.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://idthrivo.gitbook.io/thrivosign-remote-signing-solution/cert-lifecycle-management.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
